1.1 Personal Information

When you register for an account, we collect your:

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Role (Home Manager or Supervisor)

1.2 Application Data

To provide our core services, we collect:

• Trap site names and descriptions
• Inspection logs (dates, findings, larvae counts)
• Geographical coordinates (GPS) of trap sites (to help Supervisors identify high-risk areas)
• Photos of trap sites (if you choose to upload them)

1.3 Google Drive Data

If you enable the Google Drive backup feature:

• We upload your trap photos and database backups to a private "LarvaScout" folder on your Drive.
• If you are a member of a group, this folder is shared with your group's Supervisor to facilitate community health monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

• Sync your data across multiple devices via Google Firestore.
• Provide real-time countdowns and reminders for trap inspections.
• Generate compliance reports and analytics.
• Allow Supervisors to monitor neighborhood health and coordinate interventions.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• With Supervisors: If you join a monitored group, your name, email, and trap data are shared with your group Supervisor.
• Anonymized and Aggregated Data: We may use, share, or sell de-identified, aggregated data (which cannot be used to identify you) with third parties, including but not limited to public health research institutions, government agencies, and the private sector for commercial or research purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

• Account Data: Your account information (name, email, role) is retained as long as your account remains active.
• Application Data: Trap sites, inspection logs, GPS coordinates, and photos are retained as long as your account is active to provide you with historical data and analytics.
• Deletion: When you delete your account via the Profile section in the app, all your personal information and application data will be permanently removed from our active servers within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure authentication, to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: You can update your display name in the Profile section.
• Data Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via the Profile section. This will permanently remove your data from our servers.
• Unlink Google Drive: You can revoke the app's access to your Google Drive at any time.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
